Insulectro, the leading distributor of materials for printed circuit board manufacturing, has recently inaugurated a testing and development laboratory for Kyocera tools at its Lake Forest, CA headquarters. In partnership with LCOA™, this laboratory offers a range of services related to Kyocera’s cutting tools, as announced by Geraldine Arseneau, the Insulectro Product Manager for the Kyocera product line.
The newly established lab is poised to play a crucial role in supporting activities such as new product design, field issue troubleshooting, and various studies, including Design of Experiments (DoE). The focus extends to optimizing feed and speed parameters for common PCB applications, developing processing parameters for emerging industry materials, and supplying comprehensive solutions to customers.
Joe Negron, Kyocera Sales Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the lab’s significance, emphasizing its potential to greatly enhance the Kyocera/Insulectro team’s capacity to serve customers in the face of technological advancements. Equipped with cutting-edge machinery, including a Schmoll Drill/Router and a Haas CM-1 CNC vertical machining center, the lab is well-prepared for diverse testing and measurement activities.
Insulectro’s Vice President of Product Management, Michelle Walsh, is optimistic about the lab’s expanded capabilities. She highlights its value for existing customers and the potential to conduct studies promoting new product offerings, emphasizing that fabricators can rely on Insulectro for emerging technological information.
In collaboration with Kyocera SGS, known for its precision carbide cutting tools for PCB applications, this initiative aims to provide not only cutting-edge products but also a hub for innovation, research, and comprehensive customer support in the ever-evolving landscape of the printed circuit board industry.
